As a Consultant with Organization Development Consultants, Inc. (ODC), Krista brings over two decades of engaging individuals and teams, and, by extension, their companies and communities, in defining their goals and mapping achievement-oriented paths that inevitably uncover, reveal, and unleash their true potentials and leadership capabilities.
For most of the past two decades, Krista was an organizational development (OD) manager for Quad/Graphics, a $4.5 billion, 25,000 employee global printing and media specialty giant. She took on a myriad of practical issues for employees and businesses impacting their abilities to achieve greater levels of personal and corporate performance. Among these many challenges were the post-acquisition integration of differing business processes, key performance metrics, cultures and leadership styles; instilling Lean Manufacturing consciousness to drive efficiencies; discovering the latent opportunities for customer and personal satisfaction in daily tasks; and coaching individual executives, managers, new leaders and teams in recognizing the exponential dynamic of their personal continuing growth on the people they lead and desired business outcomes.
Driven by the desire for continual growth, Krista recently embarked on a personal journey by participating in a nine-month Professional Life Coach Certification (PLCC), accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This education adds additional consulting tools to augment her unique insights in personalizing coaching and customizing programs to foster personal, team and organizational growth in academic, non-profit, private and public sectors.
Consistent with her commitment to enriching young adults, Krista’s current activities also include teaching Adult Education, Leadership and Quality courses at Ottawa University and Waukesha County Technical College and assisting Alverno College’s efforts with freshmen students (particularly in the area of assessment of social interaction proficiency) and with master’s degree students as they complete their capstone projects. Additionally, she is designing and implementing a Leadership Discovery and Development program for high school-aged young adults.
Regardless of whether she is managing a corporate initiative, facilitating team problem solving, promoting change management, coaching executives and leaders or speaking to trade or community groups, Krista delivers insights and solutions that probe deeply beyond the surface. Her approach includes direct questioning and candid commentary, resulting in transformational gains for individuals and teams. Woven into Krista’s pursuit of root-cause obstacles and goal attainment are healthy doses of homespun humor and whimsical observations regarding life’s ironies.
Krista holds a master’s degree in Education with a specialty in Adult Learning and Organizational Development from Alverno College. Earlier, she earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She also holds the following certificates; Master Lean Facilitator from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Instructor from Otto Kroeger Associates, Project Management Associate Certificate from MSOE, Certificate in Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, and The Speed of Trust Facilitator from FranklinCovey.
